The Lessons:
Your first lesson using the Rockshop discount code is completely FREE. The normal price for one on one tuition is $33 per lesson. The lessons are half an hour each, but often run over about ten minutes. Lessons are available from Monday through to Friday from morning until evening, there are some spaces on Saturday morning. There is also the option of group lessons if one would like. The Guitar Studio is situated on Lake Crescent, Hamilton. In addition to the tuition, students receive copies of all the notes, useful print outs and any backing tracks. Portions of the lessons are captured on video (tutor demonstrating) so that you can access them later on-line, this ensures that you have suitable reference material to study between lessons.

Lessons cater for all styles, levels and all ages.

Lessons are conducted via HQ Video conference (Skype)

How I teach:
I get a balanced process happening, where you are getting a good progressive understanding for the instrument, fret board harmony etc, and how that applies to music and music theory, including (optional) theory grades through the internationally recognised Trinity College of Music London. Music Theory is encouraged, providing the student is interested. Most importantly I make sure that you are having fun with what you are doing. I do my best to tailor the lessons to suit the individual student so that you are getting to play what you want to play. It's all about getting you to have fun on the instrument. Terms and conditions of trade.

1.1 Cancellation policy
One weeks notice is required to reschedule a lesson as the tutors time is allotted to each client on a per week basis. Missed lessons with less than a weeks notice (or none at all) will incur the usual fee. If another time slot is available, I will do my very best to reschedule within that same week.

If the tutor is unavailable at short notice, due to illness for example, the missed lesson will be carried forward as a credit on your next lesson. If the tutor is unavailable with a week or more notice, an attempt will be made to reschedule to suit both parties or you can choose to carry the missed lesson over as a credit.

Two weeks notice required to terminate lessons.

All cancellations/postponements to be made by phone, text or email. When corresponding via text, please include your name and the day/time of your lesson.

1.2 Late arrival
I cannot guarantee a full lesson if you arrive late.

1.3 Studio hours
The Guitar Studio operates year round, excluding a 3 week period over Christmas. If you are unable to attend you lesson due to holiday commitments, please advise us as soon as you can to ensure smooth service.

1.4 Payment
All lessons must be paid for in advance. Most students pay for a block of 10 lessons in advance, however there are multiple payment options available.

1.5 Practice
There is an expectation that students will engage in regular practice of material presented in lessons. We appreciate that many of our students lead very busy lives but regular practice is essential in making progress on a musical instrument. Even a small amount of time, most days, is helpful.

1.6 Confidentiality
You agree not to disclose or share videos or content from your lessons. All of your personal information is confidential and will not be disclosed or sold to another party.
